Transforming lives through education

School in a Bag is an initiative that delivers rucksacks full of stationery and resources to children globally. They maybe poor, orphan, vulnerable and disaster-affected areas. According to UNICEF figures, almost one fifth of the world's child population will never attend school. On an individual basis, an education for these children can provide hope and a lifeline to a future out of hardship - School in a Bag is a simple solution- each SchoolBag is filled with essential resources that will enable a child to write, draw, colour, calculate, express themselves, eat, drink and above all, learn. A typical SchoolBag contains: 12 pencils, 10 biro pens, 12 colouring pencils, a math set, a ruler, a pencil case, 6 exercise books (line/square/plain), a water bottle, a lunch box, a fork and spoon, and a hygiene kit. Every SchoolBag is new and individually numbered to allow donors to track their progress via the schoolinabag.org website. School in a Bag has distributed over 147,700 SchoolBags to children in 56 countries.
