Richard Stent Optometrist offer a full range of hearing care services, working with The Hearing Care Partnership, from within our practice in Ilminster.
Our hearing services include free hearing tests, tinnitus consultations, hearing protection, ear wax removal and the very latest in hearing aid technology, all available from our fully qualified audiologist.
Free Hearing Test
A full hearing assessment with The Hearing Care Partnership will build a complete picture of your hearing health, carried out free of charge. Your audiologist will carry out several clinical tests, including pure tone audiometry and speech in noise testing, as well as discussing your social and lifestyle requirements, to provide an in-depth analysis of your hearing health.
Hearing Aids
Should a hearing loss be identified in a full hearing assessment, your audiologist may recommend hearing aids. Modern hearing aids pack incredible technology into a small, discreet device, with options for automatic adjustment, smartphone connectivity and rechargeable devices. Your audiologist will be able to explain all the options to you and help you select the aids that are best suited to your hearing and lifestyle needs.
Tinnitus Consultations
An ear wax removal consultation also includes a quick hearing test, to provide a thorough assessment of the health of your ears. Your audiologist will examine your ears and, should a wax problem be identified, will remove it using the latest, safest method that is best suited to you and the level of wax build-up. Your audiologist will also be able to answer any questions you may have and recommend any further treatment if necessary.
